Z Bar Flooring Floor Tile

This transition strip is designed for joining a laminate floor to a tile floor.

The hardwood strip is unfinished and can be stained to match the color of the laminate flooring. Transitioning from one style of flooring to another typically happens between rooms so your z bar is more likely than not going to need to be cut to fit. Roll carpet s edge over z bar then tap down to secure. Made of pliable and easy to install aluminum.

Manufactured in 48 inch lengths to match tack strip. Place the flat side of the z bar on top of the ceramic tiles. Cut the z bar to fit using a hacksaw. Measure the width of the join between the ceramic flooring tiles and carpet.

The z bar is used in conjunction with the tack strip and should be installed directly over the z bar. Ceramic tile floors tend to be higher than laminate floors because tile is installed over cement board while laminate usually lies over a thin foam underlayment. This option will not only deliver a seamless transition but also ensure your carpet has an added level of security as it hides the carpet edging to keep it from getting pulled out. For use in doorways room entry ways or other locations where carpet meets tile flooring.
